Dear Sandy,
On behalf of all our members at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sudbury, I wish to thank you for your generous donation of "Meet the Farties" books and Fartie t-shirts. Your donation for our silent auction table was a great success. Our guests enjoyed bidding on these items as they shared a few chuckles.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is changing the way kids grow up in Greater Sudbury. Through one-to-one mentoring services, our volunteers are empowering children with the tools, confidence, and guidance to make decisions that will affect their safety, their well-being, and their potential. We require investment from individuals - whether time, talent, products or treasure - to make a powerful community impact. Thank you for helping us to make a difference in the lives of children in our programs.
Wishing you great success.
Sincerely,
Chantal Gladu

My name is Sue Bendall and I am a Consultant with Deafblind Resource Services out of the W. Ross Macdonald
School in Brantford.
My travels take me from Windsor to Wiarton (my satellite location is in Sarnia) Last week I was in Kincardine and I
purchased your Meet the Farties book at Finchers. I loved it!
...and more importantly, I knew a couple of my students with visual impairments would as well.
I thought I'd let you know I was right! I go to a class in Point Edward that is for the medically fragile, and let me tell
you, there were lots of smiles!!
I rent cars every week at Enterprise and had to take the book in to show the staff there.... they all loved it and
thought it was hilarious!
Today, I popped in to The Bookkeeper bookstore in Sarnia to show them your book.... I am hoping you hear from
them as they did take your information down.
....I am also on the Board of Directors for Learning Disabilities Assn of Lambton County... and I'm pretty sure your
book will encourage reading! I know my son loved it!
I plan on donating my copy to the office for the tutors this summer....
Good luck with your endeavours and keep up the good work!!
Sincerely,
Sue Bendall |

Dear Sandy:
Re: 4th Annual Jail & Bail Fundraiser
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers, I would like to thank you for your
participation in our 4th Annual Jail & Bail event. As result of your outstanding fundraising efforts, we
raised a total of $8,624.00. This amount is up slightly from last year, but given the tough economic
times we are facing, this is still a great help to our organization.
As you are aware, Crime Stoppers does not receive any government funding and is strictly a non-profit
charitable organization. Since its inception in 1984, Crime Stoppers has recovered $26,799,164.00 in
property and drugs, paid a total of $454,071.00 in tipster rewards, and helped clear 4,332 cases.
Statistics like these are only possible with support from the community - support from businesses and
individuals like you.
We hope you can join us for this event once again next year. The event will be held in March 2011 in
hopes of encouraging more participants and pledges of support.
Thank you once again for your generous support of this very worthwhile program.
Sincerely,
Thank you,
Debbie Volf
Office Administrator

Dear Ms. Van Cromvoirt:
This is just a short note to express our appreciation for your recent donation of children's
books to our Paediatrics Unit.
In this day in age of healthcare restraint, there often isn't the funding available for extras
like books to help children pass the time and make a child's stay at the Hospital more
enjoyable.
On behalf of the Hospital Staff and especially the young patients who benefit, I wish to
express our sincere gratitude for your support.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Andrea Page,
Executive Director

Hi Sandy,
I would just like to thank the Fartie Ladies again for coming into our program to read "Meet the Farties". The
adults who attend our day program have various developmental disabilities, and every single person loved
hearing about "Meet the Farties". After purchasing your book, we have it in our book shelf, and it comes out a few
times a day to be read!! We all love it! We have found that no matter what cognitive age you are at, your book
can be very much enjoyed by all.
Thanks again "Fartie Ladies"!

Dear Madam:
I am writing to you on behalf of the Learning Disabilities Association of Lambton County. I would like to thank you for your generous donation to our organization in the form of The Farties books. I myself have read them and found them to be very wonderfully entertaining. Your stories made the reading experience of our younger members much more enjoyable. We plan to use these books as learning tools for years to come.
Once again, I would like to thank you for your donation. Congratulations on all your success and good luck in your future endeavours.
Sincerely,
Jackie Walker
